first impression, in all honesty, i don't like the graphics. the images themselves look kind of like they've been weirdly coloured and not quite sharp enough. the black and white you have going on is kind of tacky, and the category headers are a tan that don't match anything in the layout.
layout the background fits the site, which i completely support. but maybe you should stick with having a heroes header and then just having a matching background? play around with the colours more and have fun with it. hmm if you were comfortable with it i'd also suggest side tables, because i do prefer those. that's my personal opinion though.
organisation first of all, i would suggest stickying the rules thread because it's soo hard to find in that mass of threads you have in that first forum. everything seems to be a mess. the away sheet could possibly be its own forum (ie like a taking leave one). you should find some way to bunch a lot of your threads together. roleplaying guideline and grammar/roleplay help could go in another forum all together (maybe a subboard or its own board, like rp help). god-modding could go with it. but seeing all those threads in the rules board and not being able to find the rules quickly could quickly become irritating.
posting there are eleven boards which haven't been posted in. i'm not sure if it's because you just moved everything but it makes the forum seem very empty and sort of inactive. maybe either encourage members to post there, post there yourself, or lessen up on boards, but empty boards definitely make a site appear inactive.
boards some of your board descriptions are not very descriptive, and very unnecessary (ie. "tokyo's streets" has a board description saying "the streets of tokyo"). try being more descriptive than that; let them tell a story. for example you could say, "the japanese love going on ___ street for a morning tea" etc etc. but saying "the streets of tokyo" for that seems very unnecessary and pointless.
hope this helps! xo
